God is an Astronaut

This is a birth-of-the-millenium band, founded by twins. It's curious name came from the horror film Nightbreed. The debut of this band was in 2002 with the album The end of the Beginning.
This album was considered to be a music "photograph or snapshot of who we are in that moment of time" and the second track "From Dust to the Beyond" aired as a music video and had an airplay in the MTV.

The band only gathered a second work four years after, with an MP "A moment of Stillness" and the album "All Is Violent, All Is Bright".

This album gained again a huge support from MTV, which played the single "Fragile" in popular shows like "The Comedown".
From here on, God is an Astronaut became a trademark that was put a lot of effort and proliferated some new albums in the upcoming four years: "Far from Refuge", a self titled album "God is an Astronaut" and the "Age of the fifth Sun".

This last album was as well marked by the debut of Jamie Dean, a Guitarrist/Keyboardist which introduced a hitch of fantastic in the live performances with 4 band players and the reviews were explosive regarding the live concerts.

After the album "Origins", the band made an interview with Noisefull, which is very worth seeing here. Among other stuff, they talk about the name of the band and how it is not supposed to have any religious connotation, but rather a space-related connotation.
Their latest album, although I appreciate it a lot, was not well received by the fans and critics, and is not regarded among the best work from them.
